POWGirls offers workshops in video production, cinematography, audio recording, set lighting, digital editing and media literacy for girls and non-binary youth ages 15-19.
10 years, 20 workshops and 26 films!!

Our instructors are working media producers who inspire participants to be creative, tech-savvy leaders who will help realize gender equity in the film industry.
POWGirls supports all participants in their media education, regardless of race, ethnicity, class, religion, ability, sexuality or gender expression.
Scholarships are available upon request - no one is turned away due to lack of funds.

In this week long intensive workshop, participants will collaborate to create an original silent film. POWGirls will be creating their film and entering it for consideration to The International Youth Silent Film Festival.

In this week long intensive workshop, participants will collaborate to create an original short video.
Each day, participants will build their skills, learning concept creation, storyboarding, DSLR cinematography, audio recording, lighting, and post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro. No experience is necessary for this workshop.

In this week long intensive workshop, participants will collaborate to create an original short music video with youth music organization Friends of Noise!
Each day, participants will build their skills, learning concept creation, storyboarding, DSLR cinematography, audio recording, lighting, and post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Taking our Intro to Filmmaking is recommended prior to this workshop.
