Nora Colie,born and raised in Portland, OR, works in documentary and narrative film as a Director, Assistant Director, Archive Image and Film Researcher, and Film Curator. She spent many years working on Eugene Jarecki’s award-winning films, including The King, Reagan, The House I Live In, and Why We Fight. The latter two films both won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. She is the Managing Director of the POW Film Festival.
Tara Johnson-Medinger is a Director/Producer who just completed her feature directorial debut, MY SUMMER AS A GOTH which will be released in 2019. She is also the Executive Director of the POW Film Festival and the POWGirls Media Education Program. Her film producing credits include:CITY BABY, ROCK N ROLL MAMAS, THE WINDING STREAM, WORKING LUNCH and THE MUSICIANER.
Since 1983, Jane has worked as a set decorator, buyer, dresser and a Production Designer. She also works in events in a variety of capacities and writes a column for caregivers living with Parkinson's Disease. She is Operations Manager for POW, responsible for liaising between the festival and the filmmakers.
Bingbing Zhang is a graphic designer located in Portland,OR. In her spare time when she's not designing, she likes to watch films and take photos of random things. You can catch her working on her projects in a coffee shop or in the bookstore gathering inspiration.
India is an Aquarius sun and Virgo moon who often looks to nature for inspiration. She values clean, peaceful design that engages the viewer through meaningful connections to the layout, type, and color scheme. When she’s not busy designing, she’s expressing her creativity through fashion and laughing way too hard at The Office reruns.
Vee Chenting Qian
Vee is a graphic designer and illustrator from China and currently living in Portland. She loves animals and loves discovering weird fun things through daily life.
Clare is an illustrator & designer based in Portland! She’s a freelance illustrator, and is currently third year graphic design student at Portland State University.
Amber is a Portland based yoga and meditation instructor who loves writing and traveling. She believes that sharing stories helps foster a deeper understanding of ourselves, each other, our environment and experiences. She is grateful to be a part of the POW Film Fest team that holds space for those working hard to inspire growth, compassion and connection through film.
Chessa Casper is currently a student at PSU, pursuing a major in film as well as a Hebrew minor. Outside of school, she enjoys yoga, taking walks, and occasionally sewing her own clothes.
Jesselynn is a first year film student at Portland State who aspires to write or edit off-beat independent dramas. You can find her getting lost downtown or at home dutifully watching movies on Netflix.
Kyle is a first-year film student at Portland State University. He enjoys writing and walking around Portland early in the morning when the city is quiet.
Reilly Webster is a multi-disciplinary artist and Bay Area native currently studying Graphic Design and Electronic Art at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Interested in the graphic qualities of film and video, Reilly employs a mix of analog and digital techniques to create illustrations and designs that cross genres to create her own visual style.
Rachel is a freelance writer, researcher, and radio producer. Her favorite food group is bread, and she loves all things nonfiction. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in anthropology.
