Acclaimed actress, writer and director Chelsie Preston Crayford has won numerous international awards including a TV Week Logie for her portrayal of notorious Kings Cross madam Tilly Devine in UNDERBELLY: RAZOR, and a prestigious AACTA Award for her work in ABC's worldwide hit THE CODE. As an actor she has worked with many of Australia and NZ's most celebrated directors including Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Jackie Van Beek, Shawn Seet, Mark Joffe, Robert Sarkies, and Gaylene Preston. She made her filmmaking debut in 2013 with HERE NOW, selected for competition in NZIFF by Alison McLean, and has just completed her third short IMPOSTER, an improvised comedy set at the prestigious New Zealand Drama School. In 2018 Chelsie was a participant of Script to Screen's competitive FilmUp mentorship programme. She is presently writing her first feature film with the mentorship of Korean American filmmaker So Yong Kim, and developing a television series entitled WALL.
